About Stride Veterinary Services
Dr. McAfoos was raised on a small farm in rural southern Illinois and developed a passion for horses and problem solving from an early age. After experiencing setbacks with her own horses, Dr. McAfoos realized the benefits of a well-rounded and collaborative approach to animal health. Since graduating from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, Dr. McAfoos has worked primarily in the field of equine sports medicine and lameness. During this time, she has completed training in Large Animal Medical Acupuncture from CuraCore in Colorado and Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy from The Healing Oasis Wellness Center in Wisconsin. Dr. McAfoos is a Fellow of the College of Animal Chiropractors.
